Tough talk doesn’t mean a thing
Although not being a universal rule, the arrival of newcomers tends to make any competition more interesting and this applies to the dog eat dog, cat and rabbit IT world we’ve learned to both love and hate. The newcomer today is ATP (Advanced Technology & Packaging) Electronics, a company which is no rookie when it comes to memory, RAM or NAND flash but, when compared to its brand-rich competitors, is the proverbial underdog - the one looking to challenge the big boys and beat them at their own game.
The game which ATP now wants to show its skill in is flash, more specifically the flash drive rumble which has been heating up these last few years as NAND prices went down, performance increased and competitors grew in number and determination. Two of the products which ATP has thrown into the ring with the big boys are the ToughDrive mini and Petito flash drives, and they are both save and sound at Techconnect’s EE Labs awaiting testing and ready to prove their worth. Can these drives that are both minuscule in size and fame really pose a threat to the likes of Corsair, OCZ or Kingston? We’re itching to tell you so follow the breadcrumbs to the next page.
