
Corel Corporation can frame another diploma in the hallway as its quite popular DVD and video playback software, WinDVD has earned itself BD-Live aka BD Profile 2.0 certification. With this WinDVD can safely say that it supports all the features added by Blu-Ray's 2.0 specs which include access to Internet-connected activities like social networking, multiplayer gaming, online shopping and content download.

The BD-Live-ready WinDVD is already available for OEMs while the retail channel will have to wait until early 2009 to get it.
