Intel might be a little (more) upset about not getting SLI certification for the X38 chipset, but one thing that might calm them down a little is that its upcoming Skulltrail platform, aka V8 and contender to AMD's FASN8 will be getting its share of SLI. The V8 platform, set to be released at the end of the year will feature a dual-socket motherboard for working with up to 8 cores and will be Intel's ultimate 'mini' processing power-house. Similar to what AMD has with the QuadFather, the V8 platform will have four PCIe 2.0 x16 slots, all that can be occupied by Nvidia graphic cards.
As AMD will go with Crossfire on its FASN8 systems, Nvidia has given Intel license for SLI and Quad SLI for the V8. Nothing like competition to get Nvidia and Intel together.
