After last week's photo shoot of an early sample of a graphics card powered by the upcoming RV670 chip, it is now time to get a more clear picture of what AMD is preparing for later this year. The photos below showcase a MSI-branded RV670 XTX board that boasts, in addition to the 55nm-built GPU, eight Hynix chips that sum up to 256MB of GDDR3 memory. The RV670 chip is set to have a 256-bit interface and support DirectX 10.1 and will be PCI-Express 2.0 compliant. As seen in the pictures, the board still needs additional power (maybe only when running on a PCIe 1.1 motherboard) and has a low-profile (but quite long) cooler.

RV670 cards we're initially set for a Q1 2008 release but, if everything goes well we might just see their release date be as soon as November.
