To keep server guys busy throughout the holidays Microsoft has released the first release candidate of its Windows Server 2008 OS (operating system). The versions awaiting download are Server 2008 Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web Server 2008 and Server 2008 for Itanium-Based Systems, all of them having an evaluation period that ends on June 30, 2008 if you have a Beta 2, Beta 3 or RC0 key.

Windows Server 2008 is scheduled to reach RTM status on February 2008.
