The updated Eee PCs are so close we can almost feel and actually we can already see them a few interesting pictured have hit the interweb. The images below show a "classic" Eee PC 4G model with a 7-inch screen next to an early model of the 8-inch version. The upcoming model apparently doesn't have any upgraded specs, the main plus remaining the 8" LCD screen, a significant plus over the initial model. Unfortunately, the bigger screen doesn't come with a bigger resolution so it's still 800x480 for this model. Hopefully, the higher-end model, with a 8.9-inch screen will feature the rumored 1024x600 resolution, one that will certainly make the Eee PC more attractive.

The new, WiMAX-enabled Eee PCs will be released in Q2.
