In addition to updating its TruePower line-up with a brand new 1200W units Antec has chosen to release a new series of power supplies at CES 2008. Available in 850 Watts and 650 Watts, the newly-introduced Signature series of PSUs feature several "cutting-edge" innovations which is hoped to set them apart from the competition.

First up, the Signature supplies utilizes active DC-to-DC voltage regulation which makes for shorter transient response times and greater system stability. The Signature Series' transient response times can be as low as 10 microseconds, in contrast to the standard power supply transient times of 1000 microseconds (1 millisecond). In addition, the new PSUs boast an advanced cooling system with a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) fan. By adapting its speed to the power output of the unit, a PWM controlled fan can run at speeds as low as 15% of its maximum, as opposed to a traditional fan which can only run at about 40%, thus ensuring the quietest possible operation.

As if it wasn't enough, all Signature power supplies are built with highly reliable components such as Japanese capacitors and fans and have a dual power circuit board layout which optimizes airflow and ensures reduced electrical noise. Moreover, the Signature units have an efficiency of over 80%, a 5-year warranty and a half-way modular design meaning some cables, serving various components will be able to be taken out if not needed. For now, the Signature 650 and the four 12v rail-boasting 850 PSU are finding their way into stores with their price tags set to $249.00 and $299 respectively.
