After the monstrous Orochi CPU cooler, the guys at Scythe have settled down a bit and quietly built a passive cooling solution for hard drives. Dubbed Himuro, the new hard drive cooler measures 132x178x41mm and weights 790 grams and is made of aluminum.

Supporting both PATA and SATA 3.5-inch drives, the cooler takes up one 5.25" bay and features anti-vibration mounting legs.

Codenamed SCH-1000, the Himuro HDD cooler has a suggested price tag (excluding VAT) of $24.50 or 16.50 euros.
