Gateway buyer Acer has now introduced a new widescreen LCD that is claimed to be the "world's first" 24-inch full High Definition monitor with a 16:9 ratio. Officially named P244W, the new display has a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, a 2 ms (G2G) response time and a (likely dynamic) contrast ratio of 20,000:1.
The P244W is Microsoft Vista compliant, features Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) for improved gradation and detail and supports HDMI. The price of the P244W has yet to be revealed unfortunately.
