MSI finally introduced its U100 Wind laptops and while they have barely reached a handful of reviewers but not stores the Taiwanese company has already started talking about new models. As detailed by MSI, its new plans will see the sub-2.5 pound Wind become smaller and lighter in order to become more appealing to the business segment.
Expected to arrive in Q1 2009 the slimmer Wind model will still be powered by an Intel Atom CPU and will likely make use of a 10-inch screen like the U100. In addition to making the business version MSI is also thinking of developing an even MID-type Wind with a 7-inch screen and a sliding keyboard. For the near future though MSI is set on delivering the Wind 100 in both Windows XP and Linux flavors and 8.9-inch models which have yet to be launched.
