Initially announced as being a Smoothcreations exclusive, Diamond Multimedia's Radeon HD 4870 XOC Black Edition card, is now also getting ready to hit the etail market. Featuring GPU and memory clocks of 800 and 4400 MHz (up from stock frequencies of 750 and 3600 MHz) respectively and a firmware that unlocks speeds of 950 and 4800 MHz, the HD 4870 XOC has sparked a lot of interest from enthusiasts these days and, as a result, Diamond has decided to sell it through online stores too, with the first cards expected to become available as soon as next week.

Currently, the price tag of the water-cooled RV770 card is still unknown but you can bet it will be pretty beefy.
