Some five weeks after the release of the beta version that crushed a nasty data corruption bug Windows Home Server's Power Pack 1 has now finally reached RTM (released to manufacturing) status and has been put up for download. This first update for Home Server comes with improved performance, support for home computers running 64bit Windows Vista versions, backup of home server Shared Folders, improvements to remote access and more efficient power consumption.

The English version of Power Pack 1 weights in 22.6 MB and can be downloaded from this page with German, Spanish and French versions set to become available through the Download Center 'soon.' PP1 will go live through Windows Update next month, around the same time the Chinese and Japanese will be released.
