The netbook bug has been spreading like mad this year affecting all forms of IT companies and one of the latest to ben found 'infected' is Commodore International Corporation, the Dutch company that owns the Commodore brand. Put two and two together and you'll get the UMMD 8010/F, a Commodore-branded netbook that has been showcased at IFA in Berlin and is expected to arrive quite soon.
Pictured below, the nostalgia-inducing machine features a 10-inch CD screen and is based around a VIA platform. The Commodore UMMD 8010/F is powered by a C7-M processor at 1.6 GHz (BEd: What, no Nano?) has 1GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive and also boasts WiFi, Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel camera. The available operating systems will be GNU Linux and Windows XP while colors planned for the netbook are white, black, grey and pink.
The Commodore UMMD 8010/F is expected to go on sale later this month at a price tag in excess of $600.
