Beijing-based Lenovo has now introduced the M58 and M58p, two new desktop PCs that are claimed to be the greenest, most secure and most manageable ThinkCentre models to date. Earning the gold medal from the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool organization, the new PCs make use of ThinkVantage and Intel vPro technologies to cut down on power consumption and enable users to control their electricity consumption remotely via the Power Manager.
Also featuring support for the Hardware Password Manager, the ThinkCentre M58 and M58p PCs come in three form factors - Tower, Small Form Factor and Ultra Small Form Factor, are up to 6dB quieter than their predecessors, the M57 and M57p, have DisplayPort connectivity and are equipped with Q45-powered motherboards and Core 2 Duo/Quad CPUs.
Backed by a three-year warranty, the ThinkCentre M58 and M58p have starting prices of $499 and $899 respectively. The Tower and Small Form factor M58 models have already started shipping but the really small USFF versions will become available in December.
