Going with the HD flow, ViewSonic has announced that it is preparing a new 22-inch 1080-capable monitor for release. Named VX2260wm, the widescreen LCD has a slim and stylish bezel design with a glossy piano-black finish, a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a response time of 5ms (2ms gtg), a contrast ratio of 1000:1 (20000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) and a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m2.

Also equipped with two 1.5W speakers, the monitor offers D-Sub, DVI and HDMI connectivity and is backed up by a three year warranty. The VX2260wm is set to reach stores with a price tag of about 230 Euro.
