Buffalo has now announced the RMUM series of compact USB flash drives. Coming in black or white and measuring 15 (W) x 22 (H) x 8 (D) mm, the new drives are basically minuscule microSD/SDHC card readers that can work with any PC boasting at least a USB 2.0/1.1 port.

The upcoming storage solution is set to arrive with waterproof 1, 2GB microSD Class 6 (6 MB/s transfer speed) cards or 4, 8GB microSDHC Class 4 (4 MB/s) cards and will hit the stores next month. In Japan, the 1, 2, 4 and 8GB RMUM drives will cost about $18.9, $24.1, $45.2 and $76.7 respectively.
