iiyama has just revealed a couple of new widescreen LCD monitors, the 21.5-inch E2209HDS / -B (black) and 24-inch B2409HDS / -B2. Both LCDs have TN panels, a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a response time of 2ms, a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

Also boasting two 2W speakers each, the monitors are RoHS compliant and come with D-Sub and DVI connectivity. iiyama's E2209HDS / -B will start selling (in Japan) by the end of this year at about $328.7 while the B2409HDS / -B2 will hit stores in mid-January and have a price tag of $383.8.
