Initially reported in September, Nvidia's plan to rename its entire GeForce family so as to be in-line with the GTX 200 series has been 'leaked' with the release of the GeForce 178.15 driver and is now confirmed once more, thanks to a Media Markt ad. The seller lists three desktop PCs in its latest offer and all three feature GeForce cards that bear new names - the GeForce G100 with 512MB of memory, the GeForce GT 120 with 1GB and the GT 130 with 1536 MB.

From info gathered until now, the three cards mentioned are low- to low-mid-range, with the GT 130 likely being a 9600 GSO, the GT 120 a GeForce 9500 GT and the G100 a 9400 GT. The new naming scheme will go live later this month and will also see the G92-powered cards get "GTS 1x0" tags.
