After OCZ, a new brand is set to release solid state drives that feature Indilinx controllers. Named G-Monster V4S, the upcoming PhotoFast drives comes in 32, 64 and 128GB capacities, have a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, SLC (single-level cell) NAND flash memory chips, a MTBF (mean time before failure) of over 1.5 million hours, and 64MB of Elpida DRAM. The declared read and write speeds for the SSDs are 270 MB/s and 190 MB/s respectively, with an interesting mention being the 30 MB/s for random writes.

Set to be backed by a one-year warranty, the G-Monster V4S will debut in Japan around mid-April. The first arrivals will be the 32 and 64GB models.
