OCZ's beefy Z Drive is about to get some competition as a new PCI-Express solid state drive has now been announced, the PhotoFast G-Monster-PCIe. Seen below, the drive weights 680 grams, has a PCI-Express x8 interface, a MTBF (mean time before failure) of 1.5 million hours, built-in BCH 15-bit ECC, and an internal RAID 0 controller which enables speeds of up to 750 MB/s while reading and 700 MB/s when writing.
Yet unpriced, the G-Monster-PCIe is expected to arrive in mid June in 256, 512GB and 1TB capacities.
