Already tested internally, Microsoft's 'new and improved' search engine codename Kumo is apparently set to debut this summer. Regardless of the fact that the software mega-giant has still not told us what the actual re-branding of the engine is, we do know that there is going to be something big happening on June 2nd at SMX Advanced 2009 in Seattle.
Could it be that Microsoft has finally picked out a name for its online search engine? Who knows - but we're definitely going to be seeing something on June 2nd - perhaps even as far as a publicly open preview of the software, as sources within the company have hinted at.
There really isn't much information circulating about Microsoft's search engine plans, and with the way that information sifts through Microsoft like water through a sieve, it is always nice to hear something well kept! Especially, as, once again, Microsoft and Yahoo are in talks regarding a search partnership.
