Calling dibs on a "world's first" medal, the latest member of the RipNAS family of CD ripping NAS devices, the RipNAS Statement has recently been announced and presented as the first of its kind to come equipped with solid state drives. Coming in a secsy silver aluminum casing and set to be available in two versions - one with two 250GB SSDs and one with two 1.5TB HDDs, the RipNAS Statement measures 10 x 43 x 38 cm, and is said to provide audio CD ripping, Network Attached Storage and Media Streaming capabilities.

The new NAS features a dual-core Atom CPU (likely the 1.6 GHz Atom 330), 2GB of memory, and comes backed by a one year warranty. The RipNAS Statement's pricing scheme has yet to be revealed.
