Going after the industral market, MSI has let loose the compact (180 x 180 x 44 mm) MS-9A08 embedded system. Equipped with a GM45 motherboard, the barebone has support for LGA775 Core 2 Duo, Quad and Extreme processors, comes with two DDR2 memory slots for up to 4GB of RAM, GMA X4500HD integrated graphics and one SATA port (2.5-inch drives supported).

MSI's black box also provides dual Gigabit Ethernet and 5.1 channel audio, six USB 2.0 and four COM ports, plus DVI and HDMI connectors. The MS-9A08 is already selling and can be found for just over $350.
