If you are ready to but a Freeview recorder and a Blu-ray player then our advice is to wait a couple of weeks as LG announced that the HR400, the company’s Freeview+ Blu-ray player will hit the market selves by the end of this month.

The HR400 is 1080p full HD that will also upscale your dvd’s video and audio quality. it can receive over 40 of your chosen channels, able to pause and rewind live TV or save the pick of the week's telly onto the 160GB hard drive.

But the best part is that that the HR400 has a YouTube feature meaning that you can watch you’re your favourite videos without turning on your PC.

The LG HR400 is expected to cost around £350, which looks like a value for money for what it has to offer.
