Toshiba Corp. has now announced the future, and we do mean, future, launch of its first SDXC memory card. Boasting 64GB of storage space, the upcoming card weights 2.1 grams, is compliant with the SD v3.00 standard, makes use of the exFAT file system and has support for the UHS104 high speed interface which enables maximum read and write speeds of 60 and 35 MB/s, respectively.
In addition to the 64GB SDXC, Toshiba is also preparing two new SDHC cards boasting 16 and 32GB of space, that offer the same transfer speeds mentioned above, but utilize the FAT32 file system.
Toshiba is planning to sample the 64GB SDXC card in November and start selling it in Spring 2010 together with the 16GB and 32GB SDHC models.
