BFG has now introduced the second model in its EX series of modular power supplies, one providing 1000W of continuous power. The new unit is compliant with the ATX12V 2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 specs, it makes use of the proprietary Frequency Conversion Technology to improve low load efficiency by emulating a lower sized power supply, is SLI certified, and has a MTBF (mean time before failure) of over 100,000 hours (at 25°C).

The EX-1000 has an 80Plus Bronze efficiency rating, provides four (36A) 12V rails, and is cooled off by a 135mm fan. This new BFG PSU is backed by a lifetime warranty and can be found at Best Buy for $200.
