Previously expected to debut in July, Auzentech's X-Fi HomeTheater HD sound card took its sweet time during the last stages of development and it's only this week that it has started shipping.

The rather long-awaited card features a PCI-Express x1 interface, 64MB of X-RAM, HDMI 1.3a connectivity and is equipped with a Creative X-Fi processor which delivers PCM 8 channel, 24-bit/192kHz, 24p True Cinema output, and support for technologies like EAX Advanced HD 5.0, Dolby Digital Live, and DTS Connect.

The X-Fi HomeTheater HD is available for purchase bearing a price tag that says $250.
