Other World Computing has just added a 1TB model to its Mercury On-The-Go Pro line of 2.5-inch portable hard drives. Equipped with a 12.5mm-thick Western Digital Scorpio Blue drive, the new spinner works at 5200 RPM, has 8MB of cache memory, weights just under 1.1kg and is pre-formatted for Mac OS X use.

The 1TB Mercury On-The-Go Pro will start shipping on October 15 in three versions - with a USB 2.0 interface for $300, with USB and FireWire 400 for $330 and with USB + FireWire 400/800 for $360.
