Home Server add-in Asset uPnP has had an update today, this time splitting off into a commercial edition (which offers a bunch of enhancements, as you might expect), and the still free standard edition, with some minor enhancements, improvements and fixes.

The free version of the server is an audio-only media server, enabling audio to be played on a wider range of devices than the base Windows Home Server platform allows. The commercial version, available for $26 also offers:

- Internet Radio
- Dynamic (random) Playlists
- Jukebox Random Selection
- Browse by File & Folder

Full changelog is available here for current users of the software. As a decent alternative to Twonky's media software, the free version of Asset is well worth checking out if you like to centralize your media stream from one location.

Go check it out!
