Cutting down on available storage bays, QNAP has come up with a NAS server that only supports one hard drive, the TS-110. The shiny new storage solution measures just 165.5 (H) x 60 (W) x 218.4 (D) mm and features a 800 MHz Marvell 6281 processor, 256MB of RAM, 16MB of flash memory and houses a 3.5-inch SATA HDD which can be configured in Q-RAID 1 for "high data redundancy."
"QNAP's new TS-110 is an ideal choice for home and SOHO users due to its outstanding performance-to-price ratio" said Sam Lo, Product Manager of QNAP Systems. "When you consider the TS-110 can be a file server, home media server, host websites, and backup all the computers on the network, it's a fantastic value."
The home and SOHO-oriented NAS device also supports iSCSI Target service with Thin Provisioning, policy based IP blocking, and includes Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, one eSATA port, plus three USB 2.0 connectors.
QNAP's TS-110 is hitting stores in nine flavors - without a HDD or with a 250, 320, 400, 500, 750GB, 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB drive, that go from 169 Euro to about 349 Euro.
