While those in Europe are getting the Windows 7 Home Premium-powered M-1005HA and M-1005HA, Asus is serving the Japanese market with two Eee PC 1005 models that come pre-loaded with Windows 7 Start.

Dubbed Eee PC 1005HR and 1005HE, the portable PCs come equipped with a 1.66 GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, GMA integrated graphics, 10/100 LAN, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, and a 6-cell battery providing up to 8.4 hours of operation.

The Eee PC 1005HR model packs a 250GB hard drive, a 10.1-inch 1366x768 LCD screen and is priced at about $580, while the 160GB and 250GB 1005HE netbooks (which have a 1024x600-pixel display) cost $493 and $515, respectively.
