Dell's Inspiron Z-series of ultra-thin laptops, which debuted back in August with the 11z model, has just been added a new member, the 13.3-inch 13z. Starting at £479 (~ $800), the 13z features an LED-backlit 1366x768) display and can be configured with a Pentium Dual Core SU4100 or Core 2 Duo SU7300 CPU, up to 6GB of RAM, GMA X4500MHD integrated graphics or a GeForce G105M 512MB card, and a 250 or 320GB hard drive.

The fresh Inspiron weights as low as 1.79kg and also includes a DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi (Bluetooth is optional), a 7-in-1 card reader, and a 4- or 8-cell battery, the latter providing up to 11 hours and 23 minutes of operation.

The Inspiron 13z comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and can be purchased from Dell UK here.
