Put aside every other X58 motherboard you've seen until now because none can compare with the EX-58 EXTREME2 from Gigabyte, at least not in terms of included features. Seen below, the upcoming model features an intricate cooling system with a waterblock installed on the X58 chip and a large heatsink covering the ICH10 southbridge and two Marvell SATA 6.0 Gbps chips, it has support for LGA 1366 Core i7 processors, and boasts six DDR3 memory slots, and four PCIe x16 slots enabling Quad SLI/CrossFireX multi-GPU setups.

The new 'extreme' also has six SATA 3.0 Gbps and four, yes four SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, two USB 3.0 and two eSATA connectors, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, FireWire, Power and Clear CMOS buttons, and a debug LED. The EX-58 EXTREME2 is still in the works which means this isn't the final design so don't expect to see the board on sale too soon. Hopefully Gigabyte will release it in time for the holidays. Fingers crossed.
