Scythe has now let loose the Katana 3 Type A and Type I, two CPU coolers based on the 'original' Katana 3 which was introduced back in March. Both cooling solutions measure 94 x 108 x 143 mm and weight 495 grams, have a S.P.S. (Slant Pipe Structure) design, a nickel-plated copper base, six heatpipes and a 92mm fan working at speeds between 300 and 2,500 RPM.

The AMD Socket 754, 939, 940, AM2(+) and AM3-compatible Katana 3 Type A and Intel LGA 775, 1156 and 1366-supporting Katana 3 Type I are now available at $28 / 14.75 Euro (without VAT).
