AMD is the first company to release DirectX 11-supporting discrete graphics solutions (the Radeon HD 5700 & HD 5800 series) but it looks like the company will be taking its time to bring the new API to IGPs. As seen below, AMD's plans for both the desktop and mobile segments suggest that DX11 integrated graphics won't be available from the Sunnyvale-based company until 2011.

On the desktop side, AMD's IGP line will continue to be DirectX 10.1 in 2010 with the Dorado platform, while in 2011, 'Lynx' will see to the debut of DX 11 IGPs. Pretty much the same will happen in the notebook department, with Danube and Nile both making use of DX 10.1 IGPs, while the Sabine and Brazon platforms (2011) will adopt DX 11 integrated graphics.

In the mean time AMD is closing in on releasing its dual-GPU Radeon HD 5900 series cards, and is moving ahead with its low-end DX 11 GPUs - Redwood and Cedar, both scheduled to debut in Q1 2010.
