
Set to debut in the US via Verizon on the 6th (this Friday), the first ever Android 2.0 smartphone, Motorola's DROID, will move into Europe and be released in Germany next week, on November 9. Renamed to MILESTONE in Europe, DROID will be offered by O2 in Germany for 404.20 Euro (about $597) without subsidies.
Pictured below, MILESTONE features a 3.7-inch (480x854) capacitive touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel camera, built-in GPS, an accelerometer, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB connectivity, and is bundled with a 16GB microSD card.
