ViewSonic continues to expand its horizon and product offer, with its latest release being a shiny media player which goes by the name of VMP70. The glossy black player measures 203.98 (W) x 40 (H) x 140 (D) mm and weights 420 grams and is able to take multimedia content stored on USB flash drives or external hard drives and make it available on you TV.

The VMP70 supports multiple formats, including MPEG1/2/4, Divx/Xvid, MKV, H.264, VC-1, WMV9, RM/RMVB, DTS, Dolby Digital, WMA, MP3, FLAC, OGG and MKA, can 'do' 1080p HD video playback, and features HDMI, Component, Composite, SPDIF and dual USB 2.0 connectors.

"We believe in enhancing the entertainment experience in a way that is both convenient and user intuitive," said Jeff Volpe, vice president and general manager of ViewSonic North America. "With more compatible media formats than any other media player on the market, we are confident that our portable media box provides consumers the freedom to enjoy HD multimedia content on their favorite HDTV without limitation."

ViewSonic's media player is now shipping in NA and has a recommended price tag of $130.
