Although we were hoping Asus would release it on October 22nd, it seems we have to wait until next month to get the Eee PC 1201N netbook which is powered by Nvidia ION platform. The upcoming Eee PC runs Windows 7 Home Premium, features a 12.1-inch (1366x768) screen, and according to a store listing it boasts a dual-core 1.6 GHz Atom 330 CPU, 3GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive (backed by 500GB of online storage) and a GeForce 9400M IGP.
The netbook also packs a 0.3 megapixel webcam, a multi-gesture touchpad, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, an SD card slot, and a 6-cell battery. The price tag for such specs would be around 500 Euro but lower-end versions, with a single-core CPU, less RAM and a smaller HDD, should also become available.
