Although one might thing that the prices of Athlon CPUs has already hit rock bottom, AMD seems to disagree as it has a new price cut session in plan for next week. To better compete with Intel's Core 2 Duos AMD is going to cut the price tag of its Athlon X2 CPUs by up to 30% with the X2 6000+ set to go from $241 to just $170 while the lower-end front will see the X2 4000+ go from $90 to just $69.

The full list of changes should be available on Monday when the prices will be adjusted. Unfortunately, one E6750 for $183 is still more appealing.
