Internet Explorer's best known's open sauce rival, the slick and sexy Foxy One aka Firefox is now ready to party as it has topped 400 million downloads. Counted since November 2004, and including the first and the second version of the browser, the record number comes to confirm the increasing support for Mozilla's product that has even reached a market share of 50% in some (yes, European) countries.
Although IE fans may debate that a rather small percentage of downloads actually lead to regular use, the number is certainly impressive and shows that people are looking towards new and better alternatives to what Microsoft bundles with its OSes. Congrats Foxy!
