With the nForce 780i chipset finally released board manufacturers have quickly stepped up to showcase their 'new' products but, in EVGA's case, the fun didn't end here. The EVGA nForce 680i motherboard has been a favorite of overclockers but given the release of the 780i and the apparent lack of Yorkfield support, it is now due for an upgrade. That upgrade can now be made by EVGA which has now launched a 60-day program which will enable owners of (only EVGA-branded) nForce 680i boards to trade the elder for a brand new 780i motherboard.

The program is detailed here (log in required) and asks those eligible to send in their old boards and pay a one time fee of $89.99 or €79.99 and then wait for their 780i to come through the mail. $90 may seem a little too much for some but it still is an interesting offer from EVGA.
