In about one month AMD will be releasing its second wave of graphics cards in the Radeon HD 300 series. While the Radeon HD 3870 X2 has a name that speaks for itself the lower-end releases, the 3400 and 3600 are not that evident when it comes to specifications. As it turns up, the Radeon HD 3450 and 3470 will both be powered by the 55nm-built RV620 chip, will be PCI-Express 2.0-ready and have a 64-bit memory interface. The differences between them are in GPU and memory clocks - 525 and 800 MHz (core/memory) for the 3450 and 600/1000 for the 3470, memory quantity (and quality) - 256MB GDDR2 for the 3450 as opposed to 256 to 512MB GDDR3 for the 3470 and connectors - the 3450 will have VGA and DisplayPort while the 3470 will 'only' feature VGA, DVI and TV-Out.

Going further up and closing in on the $100 mark, the Radeon HD 3650 and 3670 will be equipped with the RV635 chip, PCIe 2.0 and a 128-bit memory interface. The cards will both have 256 and 512MB (GDDR3) versions and will be clocked at 600/2000 MHz (core/memory) (3650) and 800/2000 MHz (3670). Now let's enjoy the holidays.
