Big A developer Adobe Systems has now begun talking about its upcoming Director 11 software, the latest version of its multimedia authoring tool. Director 11 is claimed to offer a friendly and easy to use authoring environment, support for industry standard audio, video and image files plus new features like Adobe Flash 9 technology and bitmap filters.

"With the new Director 11, users can unleash their creative capabilities and broaden their market reach with less effort, producing more engaging multimedia applications in less time," said Naresh Gupta, senior vice president, Print and Publishing at Adobe. "This milestone release provides a strong and flexible authoring environment that perfectly complements Adobe’s broad suite of authoring products, extending our customers’ creative reach to interactive 3D animations and games."

Adobe Director 11 is set to become available by the end of March in its English flavor while the international versions will ship by June. The software will cost $999 but you'll be able to get it as an upgrade for $299.
