Phenom hangman, Intel Corporation has now updated its server CPU offer by releasing two new low-voltage quad-core parts. Set to have a TDP of 50W, the Xeon L5410 and L5420, are build using the 45nm process and feature 1333 MHz FSBs and 12 MB of L2 cache.

"Using Intel’s hafnium-infused high-k metal gate transistors has allowed our quad-core 45nm low-voltage server chips to attain new heights in power-efficient performance," said Kirk Skaugen, vice president and general manager of Intel’s Server Platforms Group. "These chips deliver the speed needed while using meager amounts of energy."

Both the 2.33 GHz L5410 and 2.50 GHz L5420 can now be purchased, in 1,000-unit quantities, for $320 and $380 respectively.
