AMD's only K10 Black Edition CPU released to date, the Phenom 9600 BE is not really an overclockers dream come true but, to some extent it can still reach a decent frequency, like 3.25 GHz. This result has achieved by setting the B2 revision CPU's mutiplier to 14.5 and was possible with air cooling and a DFI Lanparty UT 790FX-M2R motherboard.

It may not be the 3.6+ GHz of a Q6600 but still, an almost 1 GHz overclock - from 2.3 to 3.25 GHz is nothing to be ashamed of. Now bring on the 45nm quads.
