After a little while in which it kept to itself, Akasa is back to announcing new hardware, and this time it's something to help our graphics cards make it though those long, hard and hot summer days. The product in question is a VGA cooler called Vortexx (two times x, not three) NEO and, in addition to having blue LEDs, it features an UV reactive case and a design that ensures that the GPU, RAM & voltage regulators are cooled.

Equipped with two copper heatpipes, the Vortexx NEO is SLI and Crossfire ready and comes with a 70mm sleeve bearing fan working at 2500 rpm. The new 290g cooler also claims providing a low noise output and requiring a tool-free installation. In terms of compatibility, the NEO's Vortexx is compatible with cards like the Radeon X1800, X1900, Radeon HD 2600 XT (GDDR4), 2900 Pro/XT, HD 3850, HD 3870, Nvidia GeForce 6800, 7800, 7900, the G92-powered 8800 GT and GTS 512 plus the 9600 GT and 9800 GTX.

The Vortexx NEO comes bundled with thermal compound and pads and a 3-to-4 pin adapter and it is apparently already hitting the stores.
