Intel's P45 chipset is still about a month away but the early motherboards that have shown their shy faces are nothing but impressive. To lower our enthusiasm ECS has made a motherboard that uses the P45 and ICH10R pair but no extreme cooling solutions or over the top additions like 10 SATA ports of four Gigabit Ethernet connectors.
Keeping it rather simple, the upcoming P45T-A comes with support for Intel CPUs with FSBs of up to 1333 MHz, DDR2-800 memory and two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, one likely being x8 or below electrical. The upcoming motherboard also features six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, one Gigabit Ethenet adapter, 7.1 channel audio and a some decent heatsinks and no copper heatpipes. So as to not make it too simple, ECS has equipped the P45T-A with some additional overclocking-friendly BIOS settings. Those interested will have to wait until next month as that's the expected release date of the first wave of P45 boards.
