As the calm before the Radeon HD 4870 X2 storm settles in more manufacturers are coming up with new models and designs based around the single-GPU Radeon HD 4850 and 4870. HIS for example has almost finished work on its chilly ICEQ4 Turbo version of the HD 4850 and you can see the actual card below.
Boasting a 256-bit memory interface and 512MB of GDDR3 memory, the new ICEQ4 model has a two copper heatpipes-equipped cooling system that takes up two slots and even features gold plated DVI connectors. Set to hit the stores in August, HIS' card will most likely be factory overclocked but for now, its frequencies are unknown. Hopefully we won't have to wait much to find them out and see the card on sale.
