Thermaltake knows that a lot of components tend to get hot under the collar during summer days and the list includes those cheeky RAM modules. To help keep those stock and overclocked DDR and DDR2 DIMMs cool, Thermaltake has prepared a new RAM cooler and today it makes its debut. Dubbed RamOrb, the new memory module cooler weights 136 grams and consists of an aluminum heatsink and a 6mm copper heatpipe connected to a cute little 50mm fan.

The RamOrb fan has a life expectancy of 50,000 hours and although it works at 4500 RPM (rotations per minute), its maker claims it has a top noise output of just 20 dBA. Thermaltake should start shipping the RamOrb later this month. Hopefully a new version that is compatible with DDR3 modules will follow soon.
