Taiwan's Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has just unveiled its own 790GX solution which is part of the Black series of motherboards. Dubbed A790GXM-A, the new board has a sweet and reasonably sexy black PCB (printed circuit board) and makes use of the 790GX + SB750 silicon chip mix.
ECS's board has support for AM2 and AM2+ processors with a TDP of up to 140W (like the Phenom X4 9950 BE), DDR2-1066 memory and features the Radeon HD 3300 IGP (backed by 128MB of SidePort memory). Also boasting Hybrid CrossFire and CrossFireX support, the A790GXM-A has two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, 7.1 channel audio and two Gigabit Ethernet adapters. Interestingly enough, ECS has decided to not offer DVI connectivity with the board but it did include VGA and HDMI connectors.
